AfricInvest is today present in 8 countries in Africa plus Dubai, Paris and Washington DC. He previously served as Head of Financial Institutions and Capital Markets Department at Citibank Tunis.

Ziad Mokhtar is Founding Partner of Algebra Ventures and Co-Founder & CEO of oliv.finance. Algebra is Egypt's leading VC firm; Mokhtar remains Founding Partner while leading oliv.finance.

Youssef Benkirane is co-founder and CEO of Terraa, the Moroccan agri-foodtech startup transforming Morocco's fresh-produce supply chain by sourcing directly from farmers and delivering to retailers and consumers. He co-founded Terraa with Benoit De Vigne and raised a $1.5M pre-seed round led by FoodLabs. He previously scaled foodtech Zapp in Europe and the US.

Yasser Biaz is CEO of UM6P Ventures, the venture fund of University Mohammed VI Polytechnic in Morocco, set up in 2019. UM6P Ventures focuses on deeptech investments including agrobioscience, health tech, energy, AI and industry 4.0, backing spinouts and companies throughout Africa and beyond. Prior to this role he held a 15-year career in Silicon Valley at AT&T Labs and Cisco Systems.

Wissal Ben Moussa is a co-founder of Sand to Green, the Moroccan regenerative-agroforestry startup converting degraded land into productive farmland. She co-founded the company in 2021 with Benjamin Rombaut and Gautier de Carcouët.

Wael Amin is Partner at Sawari Ventures. He previously co-founded ITWorx and led its growth over 20 years from start-up to one of the largest IT companies in the Middle East, with 5,000+ jobs created and expansion to 12 countries.

Tristram Stuart is a British author, campaigner and food-waste activist who founded Toast Ale in 2015 to brew craft beer from surplus bread, with all profits donated to his charity Feedback. He is the author of Waste: Uncovering the Global Food Scandal and a National Geographic Emerging Explorer.

Tobias Seikel is Co-Founder and General Partner at Planet A Ventures, based in Hamburg. He is a senior investment professional with extensive experience in venture capital and building startups in the DACH region. Planet A closed its first fund at EUR 160M, 60% higher than original target.

Tim Schumacher is a General Partner at World Fund, Europe's leading climate tech VC. He is a recognised entrepreneur and climate investor who previously co-founded Sedo.com (the world's largest domain marketplace) and Eyeo. World Fund invests in decarbonization-focused businesses across energy, buildings, manufacturing, transport, food, agriculture, and land use.

Tim Fronzek is co-founder and CEO of Berlin-based Nosh.bio, a Koji-fermentation foodtech producing single-ingredient mycelium protein for meat analogs. Prior to Nosh.bio he co-founded reBuy.com, which he scaled to €200M in net sales.

Tarek Assaad is Managing Partner at Algebra Ventures, Egypt's leading VC firm. Algebra Ventures' second USD 100M fund is managed by Tarek Assaad, Karim Hussein, Laila Hassan and Omar Khashaba.

Tamer Amer is founder and CEO of OneOrder, the Egyptian restaurant-supply-chain platform he launched in 2022 with co-founder Karim Maurice. A veteran restaurateur, he founded Fuego Sushi in 2008 and Longhorn Texas BBQ in 2019. OneOrder raised $16M Series A in late 2024 to expand into the GCC.

Syrine Chaalala is co-founder of nextProtein, the Paris- and Tunis-based insect-protein producer using black soldier fly larvae to upcycle agricultural and food waste into animal-feed ingredients. Co-founded with Mohamed Gastli in 2015, the company closed an €18M (~$20.7M) Series B in November 2025 co-led by SWEN Capital's Blue Ocean Fund and British International Investment.

Stephanie Nour Prince is Partner at Nuwa Capital, leading Network, LP engagement and operations where she works closely with Nuwa's Limited Partners and portfolio companies. Before co-founding Nuwa in 2020, she was Wamda's Director of Communications and Outreach.

Sky Kurtz is co-founder and CEO of Pure Harvest Smart Farms, the Abu Dhabi-based controlled-environment agriculture company he launched in 2016 to grow high-quality produce year-round in the GCC climate. Previously he co-founded Vence, a virtual-fencing livestock-management company acquired by Merck Animal Health for ~$150M.

Simon Hombersley is CEO of Xampla, the Cambridge spin-out commercialising plant-protein polymers that replace single-use plastics in FMCG, fragrance and cosmetics applications. He previously led Oxford Flow, an energy-saving valve spin-out from the University of Oxford.

Shane Shin is Co-Founding Partner at Shorooq Partners, which he co-founded with Mahmoud Adi in 2017. He is a Forbes 30 Under 30 and Kauffman Fellow and co-leads the firm alongside Mahmoud Adi.

Roger Lienhard is Founder and Executive Chairman of Blue Horizon Corporation, a Swiss-based impact investor focused on sustainable food systems and alternative proteins. He is also founder of the LIVEKINDLY Collective, a global plant-based food company, and of the Blue Horizon International Foundation.

Rodrigo Garcia Gonzalez is co-founder and co-CEO of Notpla, the London-based seaweed-packaging company co-founded at Imperial College London. A designer and engineer by training, he co-developed the Ooho edible bubble that served as Notpla's first product.

Ramez El-Serafy is Co-Founder and General Partner of F6 Ventures, launched in 2025 as the VC arm of F6 Group (the expanded Flat6Labs). He led Flat6Labs as CEO from 2011 to 2025 before transitioning into the F6 Ventures GP role alongside Dina El-Shenoufy.

Rafik Zaher is a co-founder of Cartona, the Egyptian B2B e-commerce marketplace for the FMCG sector that he co-founded with Mahmoud Talaat and Mahmoud Abdel-Fattah in 2020.

Raffael Wohlgensinger is founder and CEO of Formo, Europe's leading precision-fermentation company developing animal-free dairy and egg proteins. Headquartered in Berlin and Frankfurt, Formo raised $35.8M in venture debt in January 2025 and employs around 88 people.

Pierre Paslier is co-founder and co-CEO of Notpla, the London-based sustainable-packaging company that makes seaweed-based, home-compostable alternatives to single-use plastic. He developed the original Ooho edible bubble as a student at Imperial College London's Innovation Design Engineering master's program with co-founder Rodrigo Garcia Gonzalez.

Pascal Bieri is co-founder of Planted Foods, the Swiss plant-based meat company he launched in 2019 with Lukas Böni, Eric Stirnemann, Judith Wemmer and Christoph Jenny. He leads sales and international business development and was named HSG Founder of the Year 2024 by the University of St. Gallen.
